Calan Communications was founded by John Jones in 1994 as a PR company specialising in the arts and education.

John is an Oxford music graduate who has had many years experience in the music business as a broadcaster and producer for the BBC, artistic administrator and PR consultant. For two years he was Media & Artist Relations Manager for Philips Classics, with responsibility for promoting such artists as Jessye Norman, John Eliot Gardiner, Bernard Haitink, Colin Davis and Alfred Brendel.

Our aim is to provide the best possible service to a discerning clientele, working hand in hand with clients to reach their target audience. This generates valuable long-term PR which will, in due course, increase their profile thereby improving profits.
